Little Italy was first Established in Kota Kinabalu in the late 2000, it‘s first outlet was situated at damai. This business is actually a family business. This family came from Torino, Italy and have stayed in sabah for 7 – 8 years.
The Little Italy outlet at damai soon quickly became a Restaurant of choice amongst locals and visiting tourists alike. At 2005 little Italy open a new outlet which is located just opposite Wisma Merdeka Shopping Center Shuttle Station - Located in the middle of KK Entertainment Area.
The reason was because the outlet at damai was getting to small. The concept was the same between the old outlet and the new outlet. The only differents was that the old outlet was not Halal and the new outlet is Halal. This is good because they would also have muslim customers to enjoy there food.
The reason for little italies big success was Excellent food and value for money, which has been the key to their success. At Little Italy they will take you through the ultimate experience in home made, mouth watering Italian Specialities, prepared Fresh Everyday. From fresh pastas, stone baked pizzas to a variety of Main Courses and desserts to suit the most demanding taste buds.
Conveniently Located at the Ground Floor of Hotel Capital, Little Italy is easily accessible by Taxi or your Hotel Shuttle Bus, which stops at Wisma Merdeka Shopping Center. This will be convenient not only for tourist, but also for locals because like I said on top, it is in the middle of kota kinabalu city. This makes it one of the most central famous restaurant in Kota Kinabalu.
